The Learning Support Team The Learning Support Team includes several services that provide support for children and young people with special needs/learning difficulties and disabilities and their families. These are: The Early Support Team: This team provides services for pre-school children with complex needs and their families. Manager: Helen Passman The Early Support Inclusion Co-ordinator: Supports and develops inclusive learning opportunties for pre-school children, especially those in early years settings and children's centres. Co-ordinator: Dot Ives Raising Achievement and Performance (RAP) Learning Team: This team supports pupils in mainstream schools who experience learning difficulties with literacy and/or numeracy. Co-ordinator: Jacky Canwell RAP Looked After Children (LAC) Team: Provide time limited and focused educational support for Looked After Children. Co-ordinator: Ros Birrell RAP Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) Team: Supports schools and families to meet the needs of children and young people with ASD. Co-ordinator: Jane Boyd Children with Medical Needs Service: Provides educational support for children and young people too ill to attend school, who are anxious/phobic, and for pregnant teenagers and young mums.
