Stockton Special Education Needs - Parent Partnership Service

This is a service for parents and carers of children with special educational needs 0 to 19 years old.  They offer independent advice, support and information on all issues of your child's development and education.  They can also signpost you to other relevant services that can help too.

Your child does not need to have a diagnosis or a statement of special educational needs and you can access the service even if you think there is a problem and no one else does.

Stockton Special Educational Needs Parent Partnership Service can offer:

  • Telephone advice, home visits, support at meetings and appointments.
  • Help filling in forms or writing letters.
  • Help with making a compliment or complaint.
  • Help with appeals around special educational needs and exclusions.
  • Support through the statutory assessment process.
  • Interpretation and translation of documents and letters and also at meetings.
  • Information on a wide range of issues, conditions and funding.
  • Training and information sessions.

If they can't help they will find someone who can.
